Her most well-known part is in Lady Mary Crawley, an ITV period drama. The show was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and three Primetime Emmy Awards. Dockery also made her stage debut in His Dark Materials in 2004. She was awarded the Evening Standard Award for her role in the London revival of Pygmalion 2007. She was nominated to receive the Evening Standard Award in recognition of her performance as Eliza Doolittle during the 2009 London revival of Pygmalion.
