Bojana Novakovic is a Serbian Australian actress. Her role as Det is among her most famous roles. Lizzie Needham on the drama television series Instinct (2017-2018).Novakovic's film roles include Drag Me to Hell (2009), Edge of Darkness (2010), Devil (2010), Generation Um... (2012), The Little Death (2014), I, Tonya (2017), and Birds of Prey (2020).Novakovic was born in Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian parents. The younger sister of her, Valentina Novakovic, is also an actress. At seven years old she emigrated to Australia to study medical and social work. However, after some time, she decided to pursue acting and other creative endeavors. Novakovic was a student at The McDonald College in SydneyIn 2003, she starred as Randa in the ABC mini-series Marking Time, a role that earned her an AFI Award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role on an a Television Drama or Comedy". As an actress, her films in Australia include Blackrock (1996), (where she was dux in 1999) and graduated at the National Institute of Dramatic Art with an undergraduate degree in dramatic arts in 2002.
