Bernie Taupin

 Bernard John Taupin CBE (born 22 May 1950) is an English songwriter, singer and visual artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and collaboration with Elton John is his most notable accomplishment. Taupin composed the lyrics for many of John's songs. In 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John answered the same advertisement, and they have worked on several albums together. Taupin as well as John were admitted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.Taupin was born at Flatters House, a farmhouse located between the town of Anwick and the town of Sleaford located in the southern part of Lincolnshire, England, the son of Robert Taupin and Daphne, daughter of John Leonard Palchett "Poppy" Cort and an educated classics professor at the University of Cambridge. teacher who was also the rector of Sale, Greater Manchester (then was counted as being in Cheshire).
