American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born on 20th April 1970. He is well-known for his performances as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo on S.W.A.T. (2017-present) All of which air on CBS. From 1999 until 2003, Moore was the third regular host of Soul Train. He also received the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Moore was also nominated for the People's Choice Award in 2016 for his work on Criminal Minds.Moore was born in Oakland, California, the son of Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant, as well as Sherrod Moore. Moore's father was African-American , and his mother, who was born in the Roxbury neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, was of Irish and French-Canadian descent.scholarship to attend Santa Clara University where he played in varsity baseball as an outfielder and pitcher all four years. Moore has a bachelor's degree in Communications , with a concentration in Theater Arts.
