Shemar Moore

 Shemar Franklin Moore (born 20th April 1970) is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo on S.W.A.T. (2017-present) All of which air on CBS. Moore is also the third host for Soul Train, from 1999 until 2003.Moore has been awarded eight NAACP Image Awards as well as the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series for his role on The Young and the Restless. In 2016, Moore was nominated to the People's Choice Award for his role on Criminal Minds. He is the son of Marilyn Wilson (a business consultant) and Sherrod Moore. Moore was the son of an American-born father who was African-American and a French-Canadian mother. He went to Santa Clara University as a baseball player and outfielder for four years. Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications , with a concentration in Theater Arts.
