Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg (born on June 5 in 1971) previously stage name Marky Mark is an American actor businessman, entrepreneur, and rapper in the past. Wahlberg has been awarded numerous awards such as an BAFTA Award and nominations for three Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and nine Primetime Emmy Awards. He was born in Boston in 1971. In the 90s, Wahlberg was a member of the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch together with whom he released the albums Music for the People (1991) and You Gotta Believe (1992). His first screen appearance was with Renaissance Man (1994), and he was a part of Fear (1996). He received critical praise for his performance as porn actor Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights (1997).In the beginning of 2000, he branched out into big-budget action films, including The Perfect Storm (2000), Planet of the Apes (2001) as well as The Italian Job (2003).
