Julia Fiona Roberts (born October 28 27th, 1967) is an American actress. She is known for her lead roles in films encompassing a variety of genres, she has received many awards which include an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and three Golden Globe Awards. Her films have earned more than $3.9 billion worldwide which makes Roberts one of the most valuable stars. She made her name as a lead actress with the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), that grossed $464 millions globally. She starred in numerous commercially successful films in the 1990s, such as the cult romantic comedy My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Notting Hill (1999) and Runaway Bride (1999), after which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the biographical drama Erin Brockovich (2000).
