Julia Fiona Roberts was born October 28 in 1967. She is famous for her performances in films that cover many genres. Roberts has won numerous awards such as the Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and three Golden Globe Awards. The films in which she has been a part of have earned her more than $3.9 billion globally and make one of the most financially viable stars.After an initial breakthrough through performances in Mystic Pizza (1988) and Steel Magnolias (1989), Roberts established herself as an established actress when she starred in the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), which grossed $464 million worldwide. She appeared in a variety of commercially successful films in the 1990s, such as the cult romantic comedy My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Notting Hill (1999) and Runaway Bride (1999), after which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in biographical drama Erin Brockovich (2000). Roberts continued her film career with Ocean's Eleven (1901), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Charlie Wilson's War (2007).
