Benjamin Geza Affleck (born August 15 1972) is an American actor and film maker. He has been awarded two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Volpi Cup. This is the top award for actors at the Venice Film Festival. When he was a kid actor, he was a part of the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). In the following years, he was a part of the independent comedy Dazed & Confused (1993) and numerous Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was more famous when he was awarded the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). He also appeared in it. Affleck became a prominent actor in films of the studio such as the film about disasters Armageddon (1998) as well as the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (192001), in which he also played.
