Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, she relocated with her mother to Los Angeles. They were struggling to make ends meet at the time she landed her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's leading character. In 2002 she was nominated to receive a Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She played the lead character for two seasons and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was forced to quit the series to pursue a professional film work. She had appeared alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) on Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character on Lost for two additional episodes, which included the finale of the series. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 until the year 2014. She is Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Maggie Gyllenhaal.........................Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal ( born November 16 1977) is an American actress and filmmaker. Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family, she is the daughter and elder sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens, she played small parts in films made by her father. She also was co-starring with her twin brother on Donnie Darko, a famous cult film. She then appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romance comedy Secretary (2002). Both movies were critically acclaimed. She gained wider recognition for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008), thanks to several successful commercial films she starred in in 2006. Following her acclaimed performance as an unmarried mother on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she played in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 Some of her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent of The Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the main character. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for The Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
