Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop and flamenco singer. From her teens, she's embraced the edges of traditional and popular music. In addition, she explores genres including hip-hop, soul and trap. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually receiving an Grammy. The track La Fama featuring the Weeknd appeared in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd album that was full-length. It featured collaborations on songwriting with other musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The set came out in March 2022 after the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia performed solo in her first appearance on the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home an award for the Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman to do so.
