Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. After relocating to Oxfordshire when she was five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma was only six when she made the decision to be an actor. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. At the age of ten, she took part and performed the main role in several Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been picked for these roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first film appearance coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The highest-grossing movie of 2001 it set new records for its debut day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The critics were impressed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read, called her performance commendable. Emma was later awarded five prizes to honor her role in the film.
