Ayn Rand, original name was Alissa Zinovievna Rosenbaum. Her most famous work is being a Novelist. She is also known for the creation of a philosophical system called Objectivism. Rand passed away in New York City on 6 March 1982.She began her education at the prestigious 'Stoiunina School' and started writing from the age of eight. Though her parents tried to protect their daughters from the political turmoil which was unfolding in the midst of that moment, Alisa gradually developed her personal views and advocated for an elected republican government over constitutional monarchy. Rand, who was 9 years old, made the decision to become an author particularly inspired by Victor Hugo's novels. In 1917, when the 'February Revolution' broke out in Saint Petersburg, Alisa, 12 years old, was a fan of Alexander Kerensky over the Tsar Nicholas II. However, as the 'October Revolution' began at the end of 1917, their life as a family was completely disrupted. Her father's business was taken by the Bolsheviks and she and her family fled to Crimea to start a new life.
