American actress Mary Lucy Denise Henner. She made her debut in the original production of the musical Grease in 1971. She then making her screen debut in the film comedy-drama Between the Lines.In 1977, Henner was cast in her first major part in the role of Elaine O'Connor Nardo in the ABC/NBC sitcom Taxi, a role she played until 1983 . In the meantime, she was awarded five Golden Globe Award nominations. She was later co-starring in films such as Hammett (1982), The Man Who Loved Women (1983), Cannonball Run II (1984) as well as Johnny Dangerously (1984), Rustlers' Rhapsody (1985), Ladykillers (1988), L.A. Story (1991) and the film the film Noises Off (1992). After starring in CBS' Evening Shade (1990-1994) in 1994, she returned to the television screen and was an actor in several television-produced movies. Henner is an University of Chicago student from Hyde Park, Chicago, played the character of Marty in Grease's 1971 Kingston Mines production.
