Durk Derrick Banks (born on the 19th of October, 1992), known professionally as Lil Durk, is an American rapper and singer. He is the lead member and founder of the record label and collective Only the Family (OTF).Durk garnered an audience of cult status with the debut of his Signed to the Streets mixtape series (2013-2014) which led to a record deal with Def Jam Recordings. Following Durk's debut studio albums Remember My Name (2015), and Lil Durk 2X (2016) were released, Durk left Def Jam in the year 2018. In July of 2018, Durk signed a deal to Alamo Records. Durk's first appearance on Billboard Hot 100 as a top artist came in April 2020 when he released "Viral Moment" which was the lead single from his album of the same name, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2(2020). Singles such as "3 Headed Goat", "Backdoor", and "Polo G and Lil Baby" continued Lil Durk’s commercial revival.
