She established herself as a leading actress with the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), that grossed $464 millions globally. The 1990s saw Roberts starred in a number of films that were commercially successful that included Notting Hill (1999), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) and Runaway Bride (1999).
