Bill Maher

 William Maher (/ma:r/; born January 20, 1956) is an American comedian writer producer, political commentator actor, as well as a television host. He is well-known for his HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003-present) and the similar late-night show known as Politically Incorrect (1993-2002), originally broadcast on Comedy Central and later on ABC. In 2022, Maher started the podcast The Club Random.Maher is famous for his political satire and sociopolitical commentary. He targets many topics such as religion, political correctness and the mass media. His skepticism about religion formed the basis of the documentary film he made in 2008 Religulous. Maher is a fervent supporter of animal rights. He's been on the PETA board since 1997. He also serves as an advisory board member for Project Reason. In 2005, Maher was ranked 38 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 most popular stand-up comedians. On September 14, 2010 Maher received the Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
