Spencer

 Spencer Michael Rattler (born September 28th in 2000) is an American football player who plays college football for South Carolina. Rattler began his college career at Oklahoma before moving to South Carolina in 2021.Going into his redshirt freshman season, Rattler competed with Tanner Mordecai to be the quarterback. Lincoln Riley announced on September 1 that Rattler had been chosen to be the starting quarterback ahead of Mordecai. Rattler made his debut against Missouri State on September 12. On September 26, Rattler broke the Oklahoma record for touchdown passes through two weeks with 8, set by Sam Bradford in 2008. However, his debut was not a smooth beginning when he and the Sooners were defeated by Kansas State in his second start. In his third start, Rattler threw for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game that ended in a loss to Iowa State. The loss ended the streak which was characterized by Iowa State lose 24 consecutive home games to Oklahoma. Rattler as well as the Sooners were able to come back with the win against Texas during the Red River Rivalry game. Rattler played in the Semifinals of the College Football Playoff Game against LSU. He was in three games during the 2019 season.
