Shonda

 Shonda Rhimes is an American writer, director as well as an author and producer who is worth a net of $140 million. Her most notable achievements are being the executive producers and head writer of the television shows "Scandal", "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice," among others. Her birthplace was in Chicago, Illinois, on the 13th of January, 1970. She is the youngest of six children. Shonda was a student at Marian Catholic High School. She was a volunteer in an institution while in high school. The experience inspired her to take an interest in hospitals and their environments. She attended Dartmouth College where she majored in film studies. Shonda received her BA in 1991. Shonda then moved to San Francisco to start ad agencies. She moved to Los Angeles to enroll in the MFA program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She focused on screenwriting and was at the top of her USC Class.After having graduated from USC, Rhimes, like so many other new college graduates, was an unemployed screenwriter in Hollywood. She worked on the 1995 documentary "Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream," which won the Peabody Award in 1995.
