Leyla Mafi

 Iran is the only country to allow children to be executed. Amnesty International also claims that Leyla was sold by her parents to an Afghan man who was twelve years old older to be his wife for a time. Her mother in law made her prostitute at the age of 14 and she gave birth in the process. Her birth family sold her to a married man aged fifty-five who made her another prostitute. Leyla reportedly gave her first child when she was nine years old. old.While Leyla was in prison in the midst of her execution, famous human rights journalist and activist Asieh Amini fought for her right to get Leyla a lawyer. Leyla even though she was 17 years old, was not able to sign the document that would have let Asieh retain her lawyer. Asieh then inked Leyla's finger with ink and convinced her to mark the form. Despite the setback Leyla persevered.
