 American producer and director Ken Burns has a net worth of $3.5 million. American filmmaker Ken Burns is well-known for his documentaries and documentaries series on historical subjects. His most notable works include "The Civil War", "Jazz," Prohibition, "The Roosevelts", and "The Vietnam War". Burns' filmmaking style has been noted for its use of archive footage and slow zooms into and out of photographs which is known as the "Ken Burns effect. Burns has been awarded over 20 honorary degrees. His film "The Civil War" was a huge success, winning over 40 important film and television awards, included two Emmy Awards and two Grammy Awards, Producer of the Year Award (from the Producers Guild of America) as well as an People's Choice Award and a Peabody Award. He also was awarded the duPont–Columbia Prize as well as an D. W. Griffith Award. The $50,000 Lincoln Prize was awarded to the actor. The documentary he made in 2017 "The Vietnam War" was equally lauded.There is an Ken Burns Wing at the Jerome Liebling Center for Film, Photography and Video at Hampshire College. Burns was awarded the S.
