Anson Williams born Anson William Heimlich on the 25th of September 1949, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor and singer. The actor is well-known for his role in Happy Days (1974-1984), in which he played the character of Warren "Potsie" who was a charming and well-intentioned singer. However, his appearances dwindled in subsequent seasons. In some episodes, Richie, Potsie, and Ralph formed a group which performed at Arnold's Drive-In and other venues. In the role of Potsie, Williams actually sang the lead vocals of the group. Williams's first wife Lorrie Mahaffey was the singer who sang lead vocals for the group. Williams later returned to Happy Days in a retrospective manner.
