Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown (born January 10 1981) is an American mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Brown is a professional fighter since 2004, was a contestant during the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter television series. He holds the record for highest number of UFC Welterweight knockouts. Brown was born in Jamestown. After being home-schooled for two years, he attended Greeneview High School, where the school was not a place he felt at home. Brown was raised in a small town without any hope for his future. He was an machinist in a small factory. Brown was addicted to methamphetamine, often ingested cocaine, and often got into fights at events. In his 20s He had suffered an overdose of heroin that earned him the nickname "The Immortal", was homeless and was sentenced to prison. Brown became interested in MMA after he began practicing submission holds while drunk. He had watched Ken Shamrock's VHS tapes of friends and was compelled to get into MMA.
