Courteney Bass (previously Courteney Cx Arquette; was born on June 15, 1964)[5][6] Is an American actress and filmmaker. She gained international recognition for her role as Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom Friends that ran from 1994 to 2004. She was nominated for seven Screen Actors Guild Awards, one of which she won. She received further recognition for playing Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise Scream (1996-present). She also starred in Family Ties (1987-1989), Lucy Spiller (1907-2008), and Jules Cobb (1909-2015) on ABC/TBS. The roles she played have earned her nominations for the Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards. Cox is the owner of the production company Coquette Productions, which was created by Cox along with her husband David Arquette.
